Day of Prayer – March 2022

Following the delay of our previously booked 24hrs of prayer at CCC, we are pleased to have a new date for a slightly modified Day of Prayer for the Church family here at Christchurch Christian Centre.

Due to Covid concerns and Pastor Dave’s absence we will now be holding a 12hr Day of Prayer off site with 1hour slots available from 8 a.m until 8 p.m. on Saturday 5th March. Instead of praying in the building, you can set aside some time in a place that you find suitable for prayer, perhaps alone in your home or perhaps with a friend at theirs during the timeframe you have committed to.

As we fill up the 12 hour slots, even with some of us choosing the same time as others, we will be united in our praying towards some specific areas of the church ministry and our town throughout the whole day!

The sign up sheet will be available on the platform at Church from Sunday 6th February.

Christmas in-person is back for 2021!

Christmas in-person is back for 2021!

We’re so pleased that we’re able to plan in-person events for Christmas this year after such a disappointing time of restrictions in 2020.

This year we have several exciting events planned for all different ages.

On Saturday 11th December in the afternoon we have our first ever Christmas themed ‘Messy Church’ which will have so many activities for children to enjoy with their families or carers bringing everyone together.

On Sunday the 19th December we have two different types of carol service, one in the morning aimed at all ages and one more traditional style service in the evening.

All of this concluding on Christmas Day with a short service remembering what Christmas is all about, followed by a Christmas meal for those who are alone and would like to spend the day in friendly company.

Please come along and join us if you can, we’d love to see you!

Tools of the Trade – Shane Cooke’s Visit

Shane Cooke November 2018

We were pleased to have Shane Cooke with as all the way from Australia teaching a small group of us at our workshop on Saturday 17th November followed by his message to us at our All Age morning service on the Sunday.

Shane’s focus was on generational ministry. He encouraged the teachers, leaders, parents and grandparents among us to see the potential in our children and to encourage them in the gifts of the Holy Spirit even at a young age.  With some amazing and inspiring testimonies along with some practical workshops during the 3rd and 4th sessions, we all left having much to think about and having seen the young people among us better equipped for service.

If you came along, we hope you enjoyed it.  You’re most welcome to join us on a Sunday at our 10:30 and 18:30 services!
