Children’s Activities

Ignite and Glo

Our Sunday kids groups are Ignite (years R up to year 3) and Glo (year 4 upwards). These two groups run during our Sunday morning service. All of the children join in with the main service for the first fifteen minutes and then go to the rooms above the Church hall for their activities which last approximately one hour.

The programme varies from week to week and includes things like singing kid’s praise, news from the children, share time, craft around a topic from the Bible, some interactive games, chat and activities based on the week’s lesson.

We have a small team of teachers and helpers who rotate over the weeks so the children very quickly feel at home.

Our crèche is available to pre-school aged children during the services from 10:50 a.m. We have a small team of childrens workers running the crèche alongside the other children’s groups that meet at the same time.  There is a selection of toys and activities available for the children to play with to keep them occupied, and you are welcome to leave your child in the crèche and return to the main service downstairs.

It is announced from the platform, when it’s time for the children to make their way to their activities, at which point you can take your child to the crèche which his held in one of the rooms upstairs above the rear hall.  You are required to collect them when the service is over.

If you would prefer not to leave your children in the crèche, you are welcome to use the carpeted area just inside of the main entrance and the overflow speakers can be switched on for you to listen to the service. There are some toys and a changing mat provided.

If you are visiting us, please express your interest in the crèche to one of the door team and they will direct you to someone who can help you.

New Beginnings Toddler Group

Weekly on Friday at 10:00 to 11:30

Our toddler group is headed up by Charlotte and meets every Friday morning at 10:30 in the hall. We fully understand that many Dad’s and Grandparents care for these tots in the daytime, so it is certainly NOT limited to mums only.  First session is free and we’d welcome to you to pop in some time and enjoy  a cuppa while your toddler/s enjoy all that is on offer for them.

Visit the New Beginnings page for more information.

Use Facebook? Why not visit our Facebook page and click the ‘like’ button to stay in touch and see what we’re up to.

Hope to see you and your toddlers soon.

Child Protection Policy

We have a strict policy in place to ensure the safety of the children in the church.

All church leaders and individuals who have any connection with children’s work or are working with vulnerable adults have regular DBS checks.
